What is Community Mental Health Center?

Providing psychosocial support to people with severe mental disorders (schizophrenia and similar psychotic disorders) within the framework of a community-based mental health model, providing follow-up and treatment of patients, providing home-based follow-up, treatment and patient-family education, and providing accessible and free service is a center.

What are the aims of the Community Mental Health Center?

• To provide biological and psychosocial interventions to maintain the well-being of individuals with severe mental health problems,

• Providing support and psycho training to relatives of patients with severe mental health problems,

• Maintaining the social function and increasing the time spent by the individual in the community life,

• Coordination with other institutions and community service organizations in order to maximize the support for individuals and their families (Municipality, Provincial Directorate of Family Social Policies, İŞKUR, Foundations, Civil Society Organizations…)

The products made by our patients in the occupational therapy courses held annually in Tuzla Community Mental Health Center are exhibited once a year at Tuzla State Hospital.

Who can benefit from community mental health center services?

• People diagnosed with schizophrenia, psychotic disorder and chronic mood disorder (bipolar affective disorder),

• Patients whose hospital treatment has been completed and who are eligible to receive services from the public mental health center,

• Patients identified during home visits based on past hospital records,

• After being evaluated by the relevant psychiatrist in the trsm policlinic in the hospital, they are followed up at our center with the medical board report.

Community Mental Health Center

1. Our Community Mental Health Center is a unit aiming at regular follow-up and treatment in order to prevent long hospital stays without separating the people with severe mental illness from the social environment they live in.

2. Struggles with stamping.

3. Provides on-site treatment for patients who have difficulty reaching the hospital by visiting home.

4. Provides consultancy services by supporting patient caregivers

5. Registered patients will be able to spend one day at the center within the framework of the program they can determine with the trsm team; you will also have access to food, coffee, tea and internet.
