We had a pleasant and informative interview with Opr.Dr.İlteriş M. EMSEN who started to work in the department of Plastic Color Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in Istanbul Tuzla State Hospital.We wanted to get to know our doctor who answered our questions sincerely.
Our specialist, who was born in Erzurum on 25/10/1971, graduated from Erzurum Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine.After working in the General Surgery Department of the same faculty for two years, he completed his specialization in Plastic Color Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.

What is the difference between TDH_Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Surgery?
IME_ Plastic Surgery is the correction of the structures of defective or deformed tissues.Aesthetic Surgery is everything that is done in the name of beauty.
TDH_Can you give information about aesthetic applications and frequencies in our country?
In our country, daily botox and fillers are frequently available in the west.In the East, this perception changes, nose disorders caused by trauma, breast sagging, deformations are performed.
TDH_What are your most frequent operations and applications?
One of the applications I frequently do is nose aesthetics.
TDH_Is it necessary to be hospitalized after surgery?
IME_Yes because you need to go to bed;operations are performed under general anesthesia.Therefore, it is appropriate for the patient to stay in the hospital for the shortest period of nose operations and for the longest period of abdominal stretching.

TDH_Age age limit in operations?Can you tell us about the difficulties in your profession?
Of course, there is no age limit, lipocation is not done in a seventy-year-old patient. A patient who will undergo rhinopilastia must be at least fourteen to fifteen years old.
When it comes to the challenges of the profession, as with every profession, we face difficulties such as working conditions, lack of well-being of your team.

IME_I think people feel under pressure;it can be caring for the environment and sometimes it may seem nice to people.In this context, one can feel under pressure.

He tells the case that he had in mind and could not forget;
When I was little, a patient who fell into a tandoor and suffered severe burns on many parts of his body impressed me.After five to six years of treatment, almost all of the burned areas improved and my patient then entered the world house.I can never forget this case;he adds.
